Cokato Lake has a large population of Carp. On April 25, 2023, commercial fisherman harvested 16,000 lbs. of carp from Cokato Lake.

Special thank you to Bruce Irvin for transporting the carp from the lake to the truck with his Skid Steer and to Mac McDonald for his assistance netting the carp.

Also - huge thanks to Louis for organizing the harvest with the commercial fisherman. 

On April 13 2024, association members and volunteers got together and to help clear brush/trees and create a space for a picnic table along the shoreline at the Cokato Lake Public Boat Access. 

The cleanup helps improve sight lines when launching and loading boats.
